Paul Valentine was the unfortunate victim of youth violence, and the focus of this tournament is to celebrate Paul's life through a sport he loved.

At the same time, the organizers hope to increase awareness of the issues surrounding youth violence. Proceeds from this event are targeted for community and youth programs in the
Western Communities. Our first goal of of building a second outdoor basketball court at the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre has been achieved thanks to your participation.

The goal of this tournament is for all participants to have fun and build friendships!

Paul Valentine had an impact on everyone he met. He's been described as "Enthusiastic", "A Rare Find" and "A Whirlwind".
